🗓️ DAY-BY-DAY ITINERARY
Day 1 – September 24 | Addis Ababa → Lalibela
Fly to Lalibela and explore some of the famous rock-hewn churches. Overnight in Lalibela.
Day 2 – September 25 | Lalibela
Full-day visit to Lalibela's remarkable churches, including Bete Medhane Alem, Bete Mariam and Bete Giorgis. Overnight in Lalibela.
Day 3 – September 26 | Lalibela → Mekele
Travel towards Mekele, enjoying the beautiful scenery of northern Ethiopia. Overnight in Mekele.
Day 4 – September 27 | Mekele → Danakil Depression
Early departure into the Afar region. Explore the spectacular desert landscapes and visit Dallol and the salt areas, subject to local conditions. Overnight in the Afar region.
Day 5 – September 28 | Afar & Erta Ale
Explore the extraordinary Afar landscape and continue towards Erta Ale. Experience the volcanic landscape and, conditions permitting, the evening trek to the volcano. Overnight at camp.
Day 6 – September 29 | Afar → Mekele → Addis Ababa
Return to Mekele and fly back to Addis Ababa, marking the end of your unforgettable Lalibela and Afar adventure.
